Who We Are

Our website address is: https://ascotmorgan.com. Ascot Morgan (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our site and recipients of our research and communications.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as financial information, government identifiers, health data, or biometric data.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.

Contact Forms and Inquiries

If you submit an inquiry through a contact or research-request form on our site, we collect the information you provide (such as name, email, company, and message content) in order to respond to your request. We do not sell this information to third parties.

Newsletter and Research Subscriptions

If you subscribe to receive our Quarterly Pulse, event updates, or other research communications, we collect your name and email address for the sole purpose of sending you that content. We use subscriber information solely to deliver research communications such as the Quarterly Pulse, modernization briefs, and event updates. We do not use subscriber data for advertising or profiling.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may be able to extract location data from images displayed on the site.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter your details when you leave another comment. These cookies remain active for up to one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we also set several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen-option cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). This content functions as though you are interacting directly with the third-party site.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content — including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site. These tools may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, and general geographic location. This data is used in aggregate to improve our content and site experience. Analytics data is aggregated and does not include personally sensitive information.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

We may share data with trusted service providers who support website hosting, email delivery, and analytics. These partners process data only to provide those services and are required to protect your information.

We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Newsletter and subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you’ve provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, except data we’re obliged to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To make either request, contact us at enquiries@ascotmorgan.com.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service.

Location

Ascot Morgan operates from its headquarters at 1140 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY.
